CeDell Davis/Ellis Davis

b June 9, 1927 - Helena, AR  d September 27, 2017 Hot Springs, AR

Parents were Johnny and Mary Davis.

Played with Robert Nighthawk for many years and a Who's Who of the Blues.
He's buried in Magnolia Cemetery in Helena, AR along with his playing
partners Robert Nighthawk, Frank Frost and Sam Carr.

Polio at age 9, so used a knife wedged into his crippled hand.

A Police raid in St Louis in 1957 led to Cedell's broken legs and
he had to use a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

A very pleasant man and he was loved by all.
